As its patch day and I am waiting for the servers to come up, I have a bit of free time to let everyone know what has been happening in the past few weeks. If you haven’t seen the patch notes yet you can find them here. Also the list of known bugs can be found here.

The big news is I have a new level 80 toon. Deyson the Paladin. This week I finally got around to leveling him from 72. Now I have the task of gearing him. This is not as easy as it sounds. With him being a tank, I have to try and push for the defense cap of 535 so I can tank Heroics. On my perivous two tanks It hasn’t really been an issue. For the Druid you dont need any defense as you get it from talents, and for the Death Knights, they get to cheat, as the Weapon Rune gets you the last 25 Defense. Deyson hit 80 yesterday and he is sitting at 504 defense, so for the next day or so I am trying to find another 30 defense so I can start the badge grind.

I have also been leveling with the recruit-a-friend account. Ariia and I, have almost finished off our second set of toons to 60. Of course she gets 3 toons to 60 because of grant a level.  I mentioned a few weeks ago I also started a alliance Hunter. I haven’t seen above level 15 on alliance side, and I want to get to 60 before the world is changed forever.  So we got our hunters to level 10 to get our pets, and also started a Death knight so we could fund our toons. Arria also started us a guild. I don’t know why but it is called Hunt This. They will get more attention over the next month now that we have finished leveling our Horde toons.

In more hunter related news, I was able to run ICC this week on my hunter. I have to say I was very rusty. My DPS was pretty low, and this was also not helped by my new G13 key bindings. I had only played Toresh once or twice with the new bindings and it sure showed. I hoped to get a few more raids in on the hunter as I am now in two different 10 man teams.

Thats it for now. As always don’t expect anything as you maybe disappointed.

It’s almost the end of the week, so I want to share what I have been doing over the last week.

I have been working on the new design for the site. I have pretty much finished the new WordPress template.  I am just working on the new banner, using the new CS5 of course. But to be honest, making things pretty is not something I’m great at. Well actually, I fail pretty hard at making things pretty.  I might get Ariia to do it for me, because everyone knows females are far better at making pretty things then guys are. You know I’m right.

I have also started lvling 2 new toons. Ariia wanted the new recruit-a-friend rocket, so, for the second time, we got another account, for the rocket and to be able to level some new toons. We are going to try round off the number of 80s we have to 10. I might only get to 9 though, so I can level one when the new xpat comes out. Ariia has it easy, as she does get a third, free, level 60 toon through the level granting feature. The last time we did this, she got a free Mage, this time around I am not sure who she is going to give the free levels to (lolrogue – Ariia). So at the moment we each have a Warlock and Warrior now at 25.

The one thing I am having trouble with is that I don’t have any heirloom items. We did think of transferring one of my toons with the items from my main account to the new one, but, of course, you can not transfer characters from an expansion account to one that does not have that expansion. You can do it the other way around, but it does not work this way. This means for me, that leveling my Warrior sucks. I have always known this fact, but with all the changes to leveling and classes, I thought it must have improved. However, I think it is (still) the worst class to level, by a huge margin. Before this, for me the only bad class I have leveled was the Paladin, and not because it was hard – it was just boring. The Warrior is just crap. They die so damn easily and can’t kill anything. It is painful. I am getting 300% xp and have only got to 25 but it just sucks. I still haven’t played a Rogue, but man Warriors suck.

In other news this week if you didn’t get a chance to catch all the Alpha screenshots on MMO-Champion. It is now too late. Blizzard seems to have finally gotten around to getting their legal team to crack down on it. I was surprised how long it took Blizzard to get around to this. I myself may have gotten a copy of the Alpha, the same way they did over at MMO-Champion. I also may have been on the “sandbox”. A lot of bloggers and pod-casters are saying that the screen shots didn’t seem that great. But I can tell you that that the redone zones are awesome. Some of the zones have not changed all that much, but the rest of the zones have had a lot of changes, and you are going to be lost walking though them. The thing that impressed me the most was the new Orgrimmar. This is an amazing change and I can’t wait to be able to play it on live.
